Webinar Funnels Do Not Work Well With Organic Marketing

There are plenty of people making webinar funnels work with paid advertising to enroll high-ticket consulting clients and make 5/multi 5/6 figures per month.

Hats off to them. I’m not here to argue with an approach that works. 😉

However, I feel obligated to share that in my experience, this funnel approach does not transfer well to an organic social marketing context.

When you build an organic audience on Facebook the way I teach, those folks are “warmer,” really appreciating the insights you share in your organic content, and they’re actually quite eager to hear what your actual offer is and how they can work with you.

I 5Xed my monthly income this year after I stopped insisting that folks in my organic audience watch my webinar, go through my follow-up email sequence, and sign up for a discovery call before I’d share how to work with me.

Yeah, keep in mind that the way a lot of webinar structures are taught, even the WEBINAR doesn’t say what the offer is – how long the program is, what the format is, what it includes, what topics you work on in what sequence, etc. It just says “sign up for a discovery call.” So only the folks who make it all the way to a call with you get to hear what the actual offer is.

In a cold-traffic situation, this makes complete sense. Folks watching your webinar have not seen any other content/messaging from you, and typically just found out that you and your biz existed right before they began to watch the webinar. So they need a bit of warming-up before they’re hit up with an offer.

In a warm-traffic situation, that is not the case. So you’re actually missing out on clients (like, a LOT of them) by not including information about your offers throughout your posts, content and other messages.

I went through kind of a battle in my own mind this year before I admitted that this was true. I didn’t want it to be true. Gurus and mentors more successful than I insisted that it was true, that their approach would transfer to any situation, and I didn’t want to believe that they might not know everything about everything. I also didn’t want to believe or admit that I’d been wrong for the whole period of time when I’d been parroting their teaching, and that maybe I was called to actually step forward with my own damn way of selling.

But, I finally got over myself (so much of what halts our success is about ego and fear, yeah?) and tried actually (gasp!) TALKING ABOUT OFFERS.

And I can’t argue with 5X’ed results.

$20K+ per month is just soooo much nicer than $4K. 😉

These days I typically don’t even have to have a call with someone before they become a high-ticket client – we can have a 15-minute chat on Messenger, right when they’re most excited, and they’re in.

Try this simple approach. You’ll like it. 😉

And, as always, let me know (DM me on FB) if you need help. It’s exactly what we work on in my 30-day 1:1 Intensive. I work with you for a month’s time on the following things:

(1) creating your high(er) ticket offer, that sells for $3K-$10K+ for an engagement of 3 weeks-3 months and that also gets your clients a stunning outcome;

(2) figuring out exactly who the ideal client is for your offer, who would easily pay the fee you want to charge AND find the outcome to be worth it;

(3) understanding how your highest-ticket offer relates to your other tiers of offers (if applicable), as well what outcomes and ideal clients correspond to those other tiers;

(4) writing posts that describe your offers and outcomes simply and compellingly and generate DM inquiries from ideal clients;

(5) growing your organic social media audience by dozens each day so that you have the right people reading your posts – and enough people in your audience that you can make 4-8 sales per month of your offers.

If interested, just DM me on Facebook and we’ll have a quick chat to see if the Intensive could be a fit for you and your business. 🙂
