How Organic Post-Writing Helps You Attract People Who Are Actually Open to Being Helped

Isn’t it frustrating when you KNOW you have expertise or knowledge or a way of thinking about things that could change somebody’s business or life, yet they don’t see it?

I remember years ago how annoying it was to talk to different people on sales calls, or networking calls, or in comment threads of FB groups and I could immediately see what needed to change about their messaging to solve whatever problem they were telling me (or the group) about.

I would eagerly tell them in a high-level way what I was seeing – yet they didn’t see it.

Most were polite, but doubtful – “that wouldn’t work for me” or “I already tried that” (even though in most cases I was suggesting something quite nuanced that was a couple of degrees off from what they were saying they’d tried).

One memorable guy (an outlier, thankfully) even scolded me that he had hired so many fancy expensive messaging experts already and nobody could figure out his message, so what made little-ol’ me think that I could figure it out?

It was disheartening, to say the least.

Buuut…

THAT WAS HOW I DISCOVERED THE MAGIC OF ORGANIC POST-WRITING TO ATTRACT PEOPLE WHO ARE ACTUALLY OPEN TO BEING HELPED. đŸ™‚

The thing about having lots of different individual conversations is that sometimes the individual doesn’t want to listen to you.

Or at least, they don’t want to listen to you for as long as it would take for you to fully explain what they would need to do to solve their problem, why it works, and so forth.

And of course it’s difficult for you to be organized enough to do a detailed explanation on the fly (especially speaking out loud) that would incorporate everything they need to know to be convinced.

Buuuut… with the essay-style posts that have become the hallmark of the Strong Method™, you can say everything that needs to be said AND think about it ahead of time so that you can present it in the the clearest, most comprehensive, most understandable way possible.

And, because the communication is one-sided, nobody can cut you off in the middle of your explanation to tell you that they know this already or they’ve tried that already. đŸ˜‰

(that’s one of my favorite things about this marketing/selling method! Heh)

Now, I’m not saying that these kinds of posts would have convinced the specific people who shut me down back then when I was trying to help them.

I really don’t know that for sure.

What I DO know is that these posts act as an excellent FILTER to call forward the folks who are actually open to hearing an explanation of what they might be missing and how you could help them.

Those who always have “yeah but” at the tip of their tongues will probably just stop reading.

(They miiiiight read the whole thing and then leave a contrary comment, but that’s actually kinda rare in this method, I’ve found)

And those who are truly open (read: coachable!!) will keep reading, as long as the writing is well-organized, clear and engaging.

And the few who’re ready for help now will send you that DM to ask about that program that you pitched at the end.

That’s one of the most amazing things about this writing method: it’s actually the beginning of the coaching process. When written well, the reader can actually “hear” your voice in their head as if you were coaching or supporting them right then.

They can actually get a taste of what it might be like to be supported by you.

If you include relevant examples, they might even be able to see themselves in those examples and feel like the coaching is tailor-made for them.

Fun fact: When I use examples in these posts of how to shift a message or clarify an offer, the examples sometimes come from past folks I spoke to who didn’t believe I could help them.

(Though I do try to change identifying details and write in such a way as not to reveal who the person is.)

So even if that particular person isn’t convinced or open to having help, I’ve added to my bank of material that can convince the RIGHT people (who are in a similar situation) that I can help.

If you’ve been having a lot of exhausting conversations with people who don’t believe you can help, and you want another way where everybody you talk to is already convinced – here’s what I’d suggest:

(1) Stop having conversations with anybody except people who reach out to you first – and put all that extra time into writing Strong Methodâ„¢ style content.

(2) Use allllll of those past conversations as material for your posts! All the problems people told you about (but didn’t want to solve with you)? Use that wording as topics for different posts. All the stuff you wanted to tell them that they wouldn’t listen to? Write it all out. (Do it in a way that doesn’t seem aimed at any one person, of course, in case they see it.)

Each post in the Strong Methodâ„¢ talks in some way about a problem and how to solve it, so you’re sitting on a goldmine.

Isn’t it beautiful to realize that nothing from our past is wasted? And everything can be redeemed?

I’ve even gone back through programs I took that didn’t help me get results, and found insights there that I could use to write about in posts, now that I’ve developed my own way of getting results.

I can’t believe how many people I’ve been able to help now, and how much money I’ve earned, from these posts that actually make lemonade out of all the lemon-y experiences from my past.

Thanks be to God!

If you want help thinking through what types of posts to write and how to leverage your past experiences to find topics, that is a big part of what I do with clients in my 1:1 30-day intensive that is meant to help coaches and other experts get more high-ticket enrollments from social media.

I also help you write the actual posts, review and give feedback on drafts, and give you a blueprint for the writing process that is specific to your business and offer.

The whole experience is rounded out with some assistance on closing over DM (because people who see these posts usually don’t need a long call to know your work is right for them!), growing your organic audience, and (only if needed) packaging or tweaking your main offer and pitching it in the 500-word Strong Methodâ„¢ framework.

Send me a DM on Facebook if you’re interested in this program.

And if you want to learn how to teach the full Strong Methodâ„¢ to your own clients, send me a DM about my upcoming certification program!
