If You Think You Couldn’t Have a Specific Offer Because All of Your Clients Are Different, Read This

One of the reasons why I and those who follow my method are able to get consistent clients from our posts is that we have specific offers (which are woven into the posts, of course).

And specific offers are magnetic.

(They also tend to be easier and faster to deliver – which means more money for less of your time – but that’s another topic entirely.)

“Specific” means they take a particular type of person from a particular “point A” to a particular “point B.”

One of the biggest objections I get when I share this is:

“Well, having a specific offer wouldn’t work for my business. All of my clients are different – they’re all different types of people/businesses, they’re all starting at different Point As and they all want different Point Bs.”

I have to chuckle at this because it’s the case for every experienced coach, consultant, and service provider I’ve ever met.

Every single one of us has had a wide variety of clients who were starting at a wide variety of starting points and desiring a wide variety of end points.

So, for anyone who’s saying “Well, my business is different” – it very likely isn’t. 🙂

What makes me and my clients different is not that we haven’t had a wide variety of clients.

(We have!)

It’s that we’ve carefully assessed the range of clients we’ve had, and realized that there is a certain segment who tend to get best/biggest results.

And we’ve made the decision to focus our marketing and offers on that segment.

Some of my clients who are scaling experts, for example, were at first really wanting to hold on to the idea of serving the full range of business owners: from startups who’d made zero money, all the way up through multi-million dollar businesses.

But after we analyzed their client base we realized that their clients who were already earning a certain amount tended to get best results. When we thought through the reasons for that, it was usually because my client’s expertise was best matched with that group.

For example, if my client is a hiring expert, but not a marketing or lead generation expert (or they don’t want to coach on that), then it’s best if they narrow their ideal client to the group who is already bringing in a steady flow of clients and making $___ per year (we figured out what the ideal revenue Point A was).

That’s because they’re reaching capacity, clearly don’t struggle with bringing in clients/money/business, and have an urgent need for hiring.

With some of my clients we’ve also found that their client base wasn’t as wide of a spread as they had originally thought.

For example, my clients who are fitness coaches have sometimes said that their clients were starting at all different Point As and wanting all different Point Bs.

But after I questioned them we realized that almost all of their clients tended to be in the range of 10-30 pounds overweight.

That’s actually not too huge of a spread, because the pain points for people in that group tend to be similar (as opposed to, for example, those who are 100 or more pounds overweight).

With these folks, we happily realized that they already had a pretty specific offer – they just needed to be more upfront about actually stating what that Point A was, so that they could get more of those people nodding their heads and saying “that’s me” when reading their posts.

If you’re an experienced coach or expert who’s looking to scale to $100K-$1M (or more) per year by getting more clients for your high-ticket program from organic content, and would like help thinking through the Point A and Point B of your ideal client, as well as have my help to write posts in the specific frameworks that I’ve created to generate leads and sales, as well as have help (if you need/want it) with growing your organic audience, tweaking your offer, and/or creating a simple sales syntax that you can use to qualify and enroll (the right) clients over Messenger, send me a DM on Facebook and we’ll chat over Messenger about the possibility of having you join my 1-month private intensive.

If you ONLY want help thinking through the Point A and Point B of your ideal client, you might be interested in attending my group workshop where we work on that.

You can always click here to find out when the next workshop(s) will be offered. DM me on Facebook if you’re interested in joining one!
