Gurus don’t know everything.
I recently saw a guru ad in my FB feed declaring that “posting on social media every day” does not work for coaches and experts to grow a serious business.
As someone who has brought in over 750k for my consulting business in about 2.5 years, precisely from “posting on social media every day,” I beg to differ. 😉
Consistency is a thing. It works. It gets results.
When I post daily or near-daily, I bring in leads and clients without fail. Clients, about 1-2 per week average. Leads, about 2-7 per week.
(I used to reliably get about one lead per day, and that has gone down as I’ve started being more specific in my posts about the price of my offer, but my number of clients has stayed the same.)
The past couple of weeks my posting slowed considerably (even to zero new posts one week) because I was moving house and doing a lot of other personal stuff. My leads and clients also slowed.
This week I got going again, putting up about 5-6 posts in a few days’ time, and suddenly got 3 inquiries for my services in about a 12-hour time frame.
Post, get leads and clients.
Don’t post, don’t get leads and clients.
Do X, get Y.
Don’t do X, don’t get Y.
How much simpler can this be? 🙂
We humans like to make things more complicated than they really are.
Clients will say to me, “I’ve written 6 posts in the past 6 weeks and haven’t gotten any clients! What am I doing wrong?”
And I’ll say, “That.” 🙂
Once a week is not daily. Daily is daily.
I’ll even do this to myself in my own head. “Gosh, why haven’t I gotten any leads lately? Oh yeah… the last time I posted was a week ago Tuesday.”
Everyone wants the secret to consistent clients.
And, I just gave it to you.
Consistent clients come from your consistent effort in taking the actions that get clients. 😉 Imagine that.
Now, if you ARE posting daily and have been doing so for at least a month (and you have a friends list that you’ve been adding to each day) and STILL aren’t getting leads/clients… then we can talk about what to change about your posts.
A good place to start is my free content training where I break down my 5-part framework to content writing and give plenty of examples to cement the concepts for you.
Find it here.
Another good thing to do is to send me a private message on Facebook to discuss working together in my 30-day 1-on-1 program where I’ll give you feedback on exactly what needs changing about your posts to make them clearer and get potential clients messaging you nearly ready to sign up.
Find more info on the 30-day program here.
If you’re experienced at the work you do and have real value to offer, there’s no reason you can’t be bringing in high-value clients ($5K-$20K+) from Facebook in a very short amount of time, even the next few weeks – as long as you’re willing to follow a simple process that’s pretty much guaranteed to work, and not overthink things beyond that. 😉
