Does your audience know that you have something for sale?
Might sound like a dumb question. It’s not. ๐
When I was first starting out in the online world, I was taught over and over again that you should “give value” most of the time except for once or twice a year when you would “launch” your program.
And that’s what I did.
So you can imagine how frustrated I was when I got replies to launch emails from people who’d been on my list for YEARS, saying, “Wow, this looks like a great program! Did you just start offering it?”
No. I had NOT just started offering it. I had sent out 3-4 launch sequences by that point which they obviously didn’t see or didn’t remember.
That taught me that people are not paying nearly as much attention as I think they are.
And it really made me stop and think – would it be so bad if I sold more often?
At that time, I didn’t yet know that you could sell a program without “launching” it and making a big to-do over it with a three-part video series, email sequences, and sales pages.
(Perhaps that was because back then I only knew about the super-famous gurus and that was what they did. And of course that makes sense for the size of their business. But what works well for an 8- or 9-figure company doesn’t necessarily translate to a struggling solopreneur.)
But my audience’s apparent cluelessness about what I offered did get me thinking.
Fast forward about 7 yearsโฆ and what I now know is that the more I pitch my program, the more sales I get.
Imagine that! ๐
There’s a trick to it, though. In order to earn the right to pitch every day without being blocked/unfollowed/reported as spam in large numbers, you’ve got to blend your pitch with tremendous value.
And that’s exactly what I now do and show others how to do. And it works like gangbusters.
The basic formula, which I’ve shared here and on my FB profile and in my FB group a number of times, is to share what causes a particular problem that your audience has, and one well-explained insight as to how to solve it.
And then, in a very minimal number of words at the end, you let readers know where your post topic sits within the scope of what you cover in your signature program – as well as what the basic container is for that program.
And voila! Suddenly, you magically have eyeballs on your offer every day.
You realize that you can make sales any day of the year.
You realize that all the videos, landing pages, WordPress sites [I didn’t have this site until April 2022 – 8+ years and nearly $1 million into my journey], and email drip sequences are really not so necessary for getting your business off the ground and making a VERY healthy multi-six-figure income.
(And if you’re like me, you kick yourself just a little bit for making it so complicated in the past.)
And life becomes better than you ever could have imagined.
When people first encounter me, I often hear doubts like, “won’t people unfollow me if I pitch so often?”
I’ve been around long enough now that there are plenty of people on my friends list and in my FB group who’ve followed me for months or years despite the fact that I pitch in almost every post.
I thought it would be fun to invite some of you to comment here and share in your own words why you’re still following me and haven’t been turned off by my frequent pitching.
Should be an enlightening thread. ๐
Oh, and if you’re wanting help to see exactly how it works to elegantly weave your pitch into every post in a way that still gives value so that you get a lot more eyeballs on your program every day, that’s a big part of what I do in my 30-day 1:1 program.
We also look at tweaks you can make to your actual program, ideal client, and sales process that will make your whole business work better and get you more high-ticket sales in less time and with fewer objections.
Just DM me on Facebook if interested and we will have a chat to see if you’re a good candidate to get results!
