Is it possible to repeatedly enroll clients who are a good fit (not just for your work, but for your energy, personality, heart, etc.) if you don’t do sales calls?
Yep. I’ve done this 200+ times.
And I can’t think of one client who wasn’t a good fit or who I didn’t “vibe” with or align with their energy.
And so many also had some amazing synchronicities with me, like sharing my faith or having something else in common, like a certain way we see the world.
People sometimes doubt me that it’s possible to repeatedly attract these soulmate clients without sales calls.
But it’s just like anything else… it’s about what you’re putting out there!
When you are fully authentic in the content that you put out there publicly – and fully transparent about what you do as well as who you are – people feel it, and they can sense whether they align or not.
And keep in mind that someone who reaches out to you in the DMs and says they’re ready to pay $5K, $10K, $20K or more is ALMOST CERTAINLY going to be a match for you in all ways.
That certainty is not 100%, of course (which is why I used the word “almost”). You’ll ask a few vetting questions over DM just to make sure.
But people typically don’t say they’re ready to drop that kind of cash without a phone call unless they feel a really strong alignment with you.
And since that feeling of alignment is based on how you presented yourself, that alignment is likely to go both ways (i.e. you’ll feel it too).
You can do sales calls if you want to, of course. You can do anything you want – it’s your business.
But don’t be surprised if you find that pretty much everyone on those calls is a fit in all ways after you shift your content in the way that I’m describing.
At that point you might be doing calls just for fun, rather than because you feel you really need to for vetting purposes.
And eliminating calls in the sales process is a HUGE part of one possible recipe for working about half as much while keeping your income the same or even increasing it dramatically.
It was the path I chose and it worked out brilliantly for me because I have a lot of other things going on in my life besides my business and would rather work 20 hours than 40.
And also, sales calls drained the life out of me as an introvert – especially when the prospect obviously didn’t know much about me or my work – and I couldn’t stand the thought of spending the rest of my career doing business that way.
I’d rather go back to a job where I could hide away alone in a cubicle for most of the day and only emerge for the occasional staff meeting (or ideally… never!).
Ya feel me? 🙂
If you want the shorter work hours and higher profits for yourself too, this is something to really consider.
The supposed “need” to do a call to ascertain fit/alignment is one area that I think a lot of people haven’t fully thought through (or tested), and it’s often not true.
