I have a special new way to work with me, and I’m very excited about it!
It’s for anyone who is currently trying to communicate something important – whether professionally or personally – and has not been able to get their point across in a way that the other party understands…
…and would like help to identify the disconnect that’s preventing their message from landing, so that they can make adjustments to their communication and have a better chance of getting the outcome they want.
Here are some examples of the kinds of situations I can step into and help you with this:
- Disagreement or misunderstanding within marriage or other significant personal relationship
- Cross-departmental communication within an organization or corporation
- Political advocacy where you’re trying to get certain groups or individuals on board with a particular policy position
- Patient-to-doctor communication (or doctor-to-patient, for that matter)
- Messaging within a sales and/or marketing context to make sure it’s attracting and/or converting the right clients/customers (I’ve been in a particular niche with this for over 10 years, so I do have some specific offers for this already)
- Fundraising and donor communication to attract and retain the funders and supporters that you want for your cause
- Job searches (communicating what you offer to employers)
- Hiring (communicating what job you need done and what type of person you’re looking for)
- Any situation where subject-matter expertise needs to be communicated to laypeople in a way that doesn’t sacrifice accuracy
- Religious, political, or other ideological conflict or misunderstanding – between individuals or groups
- Any type of conflict mediation.
I have an intuitive gift for looking at two sides of a situation and understanding the differing knowledge, assumptions, and worldviews that each side is bringing – which allows me to help one or both sides to adjust their communication and strategy to better align with the perspective of the other side, so that true understanding finally becomes possible.
After spending 10 years deploying this gift in cross-departmental communication within organizations, and an additional 10 years in sales/marketing messaging in the coaching/expert industry (plus all sorts of one-off gigs in many other areas), I’m eager to broaden my use of this gift and help a wider variety of people.
Here’s how this offer will work:
1. If you’re interested, you’ll either email me at eleanore@eleanorestrong.com or DM me on Facebook with a brief summary of your situation and I’ll make sure that it’s something I can help with.
2. If it is, you’ll send me your payment and sign a brief client agreement, and then we’ll meet for a 90-minute consult on Zoom to gain a bottom-line understanding of the disconnect and why it’s happening.
The reason will usually be that either (a) you’re speaking to the wrong person/people or (b) there’s a particular way in which your overall approach to your communication is missing the mark and not aligning with how the other person/group thinks about the situation. (Or both (a) and (b)!))
Together we’ll identify what the reason is. I may give you some pre-session homework (tailored to what you told me when you first reached out) to help me come to the call better informed about what is going on.
3. If necessary, we’ll have a second call (no extra charge) to further clarify the bottom-line reason for the disconnect. There may be more homework based on what I learn in the first session.
4. The new understanding that you gain from these 1-2 calls may be enough for you to fix your communication and/or your approach completely on your own. If so, great! Our consulting engagement ends here.
Alternatively, if you want support to actually create the specifics of your messaging and/or your strategy for handling the situation, you can hire me for a longer engagement. These longer engagements will be custom-designed and custom-priced for each situation, and we can discuss those details after your initial 1-2 calls if you’re interested.
Investment:
$1K total for the two calls (second one only used if needed). There are no particular written deliverables included with this – just the new understanding you’ll gain. However, I will send you any notes that I take during the session (and you’ll also have the option to view screen-share as I type them – if either you or I would find that helpful).
There will be custom pricing for longer engagements, should you wish to sign up for one after you do the initial 1-2 calls.
Qualifications of the best-fit person for this offer:
The main thing I hope for with clients of this offer is that you will be somewhat self-aware, willing to examine your own role in creating the disconnect, and willing to at least attempt to step into the shoes of the other person or group and try to understand what is motivating them – even if you have strong emotions about what they’ve said or done.
This doesn’t mean that I will tell you the situation is all your fault (that is almost never the case) – but it does mean that we will focus on what you can do about it, since we cannot directly change the other party.
The good news is that once we start behaving and communicating differently in a situation, the other party is highly likely to shift their behavior and communication also.
